Dr Ridwan Ahmed

Dr Ridwan Oladotun Ahmed is a locum consultant clinical oncologist working in South West England, with more than 16 years’ clinical experience. He holds an MBBS from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and an MPhil in Cancer Science from Stellenbosch University, South Africa. His specialist and academic training in clinical oncology, together with his clinical experience in Nigeria, South Africa, and the UK, gives him a broad international perspective on cancer care.

Trained in both radiation oncology and medical oncology, Dr Ahmed has subspecialist interests in breast cancer and sarcoma, including gastrointestinal stromal tumours. His experience in systemic anti-cancer therapy and radiotherapy allows him to provide integrated, patient-centred treatment planning throughout the cancer care pathway.

Alongside his clinical practice, he has active research interests in urological cancers, lung cancer, and neuroendocrine tumours. He is also committed to education, professional development, and improving the quality and delivery of cancer care.
