Fortisip Compact Protein is a Food for Special Medical Purposes for use under medical supervision. Fortisip Compact Protein is a high energy (2.4kcal/ml), high protein (18g protein/125ml bottle), ready to drink, milkshake style nutritional supplement, for the dietary management of disease related malnutrition. Fortisip Compact Protein can be used to supplement the diet of patients unable to meet their nutritional requirements from other foods.

Fortisip Compact Protein is ready to drink and is best served chilled. Store in a cool, dry place (5-25°C). Shake well before use. Once opened, close the bottle and store in a refrigerator for a maximum of 24 hours. The recommended dosage should be determined by a clinician or dietitian and is dependent on the age, bodyweight and medical condition of the patient.

Yes. Some people may prefer to take Fortisip Compact Protein frozen either as a change to sipping them, or because they find them more palatable or easier to take if they have a sore mouth. To freeze Fortisip Compact Protein, pour it into a freezer safe container (or ice cube tray) and freeze. You can also Freeze Fortisip Compact Protein in ice lolly moulds. Fortisip Compact Protein should always be decanted from the bottle before freezing.

Yes, you can drink Fortisip Compact Protein warmed or mixed into warm food or drink, such as coffee or macaroni and cheese. To heat, pour it into a pan and warm through gently without boiling, or decant into a microwave safe container and warm without bringing to the boil. Boiling Fortisip Compact Protein or adding to boiling food should be avoided as it may alter the taste and destroy the heat sensitive vitamins in the product. Fortisip Compact Protein Neutral, Banana, Cool Coconut, Hot Tropical Ginger, Vanilla and Mocha flavours are suitable for vegetarians. Strawberry, Peach Mango, Berries and Cool Red Fruits flavours contain carmine.
